Sweet 16

Life Skills
We equip young girls with the essential life skills and personal growth tools we believe every girl should know by the time she turns sixteen. We don’t assume our girls have learned these lessons elsewhere, so we focus on building a strong foundation that prepares them for adulthood. Our girls develop awareness of their self-worth and learn the importance of appreciation over entitlement. They are taught how to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, manage anger, and make positive choices. We emphasize that they are “worth the wait” and what it means to abstain from negativity, empowering them to live with confidence and purpose.

Show, Tell and Share

Storytelling & Personal Growth
We believe that sharing stories saves lives. Storytelling is at the heart of our organization - offering girls the opportunity to see the world through the experiences of others. By listening to and sharing stories of challenges, choices, and triumphs, girls learn valuable lessons about resilience, decision-making, and trust. Speakers, mentors and peers openly discuss their truths — what happened, why it happened, and how it shaped their lives — to guide girls toward making positive choices. Stories of both success and struggle are shared, giving them real-world examples of what to do and what to avoid. Through guided exercises and creative tools, girls are encouraged to share their own stories, transforming from shy and reserved to confident and expressive. Storytelling becomes not only a method of self-expression, but also a way to build trust, strengthen character, and bring their ideas to life.
This is offered to every Girl Talk Global Ambassador enrolled in our organization.
STEM & Energy Program

STEM & Green Energy
This program introduces girls to the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) with a special focus on sustainability and energy. Participants explore how science and math connect to real-world applications like solar power, electricity, and renewable energy. Girls gain hands-on experience learning how energy works, why it’s essential, and how going green helps protect our planet. They also discover the wide range of careers in STEM and energy, inspiring them to see themselves as future innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders in a rapidly changing world.

Girls Who Brunch Program

Social Etiquette & Dining Program
This program teaches girls the art of social etiquette, helping them build confidence and poise in any setting. Participants learn proper table manners for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, as well as how to order from a menu, hold engaging conversations, and use utensils correctly — all without fear of embarrassment.
Beyond the dining table, these skills translate into everyday life, preparing girls to navigate social and professional environments with confidence and professionalism. The program also serves as a bridge for families, offering special sessions that bring mothers and daughters, fathers and daughters, and even grandparents together to share the experience.
This program is offered yearly. Once a month we brunch and twice a month we teach.
Go Get It Program

Education & College Readiness Program
This program motivates girls to be go-getters and lifelong learners by exposing them to the many pathways available through education. Participants explore junior high schools, high schools, colleges, and trade schools, and take part in College Fairs, High School Fairs, College Tours, Career Days, the Girl Talk Sisterhood Conference, and graduation events. By experiencing these opportunities firsthand, girls are inspired to set goals, envision their futures, and pursue higher education with confidence. Beyond inspiration, the program provides tangible financial support. Once a student is accepted to college, we celebrate her achievement with a trunk gifting exchange and college care packages to ensure she has the essentials she needs. We also connect girls with resources to help them stay in school, succeed academically, and find their voices while navigating college or trade programs.
Girls In Tech Program

Technology & Innovation
This program introduces girls to the latest advancements in technology and helps them understand how things work behind the scenes. From robotics to computers, participants explore the building blocks of innovation while gaining practical skills that prepare them for the future. Girls also learn about career pathways in technology, including the steps needed to secure internships and jobs in the field. In addition to cell phones and apps, this program opens their eyes to the vast opportunities available through technology and empowers them to envision themselves as creators, engineers, and leaders in the digital age.

Honor Roll Initiative

Celebration & Recognition
This program is designed to honor every girl for her achievements, growth, and resilience. Each participant is reminded that she is special — a gem, a diamond, a precious jewel — unique and worthy of recognition.
We celebrate girls through thoughtful gestures such as invitations, thank-you cards, birthday and graduation acknowledgments, move-up ceremonies, certificates of achievement, and recognition of personal growth, whether it’s improved grades or resolved conflicts. With gifting suites, beautiful décor, and meaningful celebrations, we create unforgettable moments that boost self-esteem and inspire confidence.
At the heart of this program is both praise and purpose: while girls are celebrated, they also learn the importance of giving back. This balance of recognition and responsibility nurtures scholars, leaders, and scholarship recipients.
✨ If you would like to be honored for your achievements, please email programs@girltalkglobal.org and allow us to celebrate you!
City Girls

Civic Engagement & Community Exploration
This program gives girls the opportunity to discover and appreciate the city and state they call home. Too often, young people grow up in neighborhoods without knowing the history, resources, and opportunities around them. Through guided exploration, girls expand their horizons and learn to see their community in a new light.
Participants meet city and state officials, connect with local business owners, and engage with the police, fire department, and other community leaders to understand how their city operates. By uncovering “hidden gems” in plain sight, girls not only gain knowledge of their surroundings but also build a sense of pride, belonging, and possibility.
Read Along Program

Reading & Literacy
This program fosters a love of reading while building confidence, articulation, and comprehension skills. Girls are provided with books and resources — including audiobooks — and participate in guided read-alongs to strengthen their abilities and ease the fear of reading aloud. Each participant has the opportunity to suggest books, take turns leading group readings, and is paired with a “sister reader” to encourage accountability and teamwork. Monthly incentives keep the momentum going, making reading both fun and rewarding.
By developing strong literacy skills, girls gain confidence not only in the classroom but also in expressing themselves throughout life.
This program is offered yearly after school, Saturdays and incorporated in our summer camps.

Girls practice runway walking, meet designers and industry professionals, and explore styles ranging from local trends to international looks. Along the way, they build confidence, embrace individuality, and discover how their passion for fashion can evolve into college studies, entrepreneurship, or a professional career.
Give Back & Volunteer

Community Service & Giving Back
At Girl Talk Global, we believe it is just as important to give as it is to receive. This program teaches girls the value of gratitude, appreciation, and service by actively engaging them in volunteer opportunities that support communities in need. Through hands-on experiences, participants build community service hours while learning responsibility, empathy, and leadership. Each girl is required to take part in at least one give-back activity, helping her understand that true impact comes from serving others.By giving back, our girls not only strengthen their communities but also grow into compassionate, socially conscious leaders.
